Lacona is vey much appreciated for its features of marine location. It is situated in the Tuscan Archipleago National Park because of its white and fine-grained sandy hills which fringe the gulf. A beach that is one out of the biggest and largest of the Island (its geographic name is actually “the big beach”, la Spiaggia Grande) and whose sea is valued by those who love diving and snorkelling. It is the ideal place to go for children as well, thanks to the low sandy bottom of the sea. That also allows healthy and pleasant walking along the water’s edge. From the geologic point of view, Lacona is marked by its origin as a wetland and it was once therefore very rich in freshwater.
Just a short walk from the long beach of fine sand, it is the ideal spot for relaxing and enjoying both the sea and Nature. Lacona è molto apprezzata per le sue caratteristiche di destinazione balneare. E’ ricompresa nella perimetrazione del Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago Toscano per le dune che orlano la sua bellissima spiaggia di sabbia finissima. Una spiaggia che, per estensione ed ampiezza, non conosce rivali sull'isola (geograficamente definita "Spiaggia Grande"), e che viene lambita da un mare caro ai subacquei e agli amanti dello snorkeling. E' inoltre il luogo ideale per i bambini, considerato che i suoi fondali sabbiosi declinano molto lentamente, consentendo anche benefiche e piacevoli passeggiate a filo dell'acqua. Dal punto di vista geologico, Lacona è caratterizzata dalle sue origini lacustri (da cui trae il nome) che una volta la rendevano ricchissima di acqua.
A due passi dalle lunghe spiagge di sabbia finissima del golfo, l’hotel è ideale per rilassarsi, vivere il mare e la natura in mezzo all’incantevole cornice del Parco Nazionale dell’Arcipelago Toscano.
